Sock it to Me…

Here's a great little corporate identity job I've finally found time to work on. Sockedelic is a fantastic little venture specialising in custom-made sock monkeys & plush toys.

It's great to see local creativity flourish & it's no surprise that Sockedelic hit the ground running with their quirky take on the sock monkey. I'm so pleased to see their success continue on an upward curve throughout 2010. You can buy your very own Sockedelic creation at their awesome Etsy Store now.

 

Victoriana Overload…

These posters & flyers are at the printers now, but keep an eye for them around Belfast's many hipster joints real soon. This is my 2nd time designing for Pigeon & Plums Christmas show. By all accounts – last year's shows were a sellout success – with this year promising even more festive, Victorian style fun & frolics.  

 

In Search of Earth

I've been very busy with client work this summer – great jobs too. But it's left little time to flex my own creative muscle, so I'm trying to dedicate more time to personal briefs in September. This piece below marks a resurgence in a more graphic style, allowing me to play with typography (the supremely flexible Avant Garde Gothic to be precise). Those of a certain age will be familiar with the source material, Ulysses 31 was one of my all time favourite after school cartoon shows in the mid 80s. Well worth a search in YouTube.

 This piece will eventually be released as a limited screenprint, so keep your ears to the ground for release dates Ulysses fans!

New Faces

Just finished up on a lovely job with an old friend in London. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun. Just posting a few of the images I really liked that went into the project… 

  

An Apple a Day…

 Just finishing up this illustration for a new client. I love it when someone commissions me to design a logo, realises I can also draw, then asks me to whip up some complimentary illustrations too. I'll post up some more information about this Client when their Website's up & running.
